Retrying Failed Payments
We’re currently working on adding logic to our system to automatically retry failed payments. I have a question about 503 errors - is it safe to retry when this happens, or could a situation ever occur where a 503 was returned, but the purchase was processed successfully, which may result in us double charging? A 503 error can vary and as such it's hard to really know what's safe to retry. A specific incident would be that a Gateway had a connectivity issue right after processing the transactions and Spreedly wouldn't be able to retrieve that information.
