Create a Production Gateway or Receiver Token
At this stage, if you have adequately tested your integration and would like to turn on production traffic, you can simply use your production credentials to create a gateway or receiver token (setting the sandbox flag to false) using the environment key and access secret for the environment you want to transact in. Be sure to update all of your code, iFrame, and API credentials to point to your production environment.
We highly recommend creating a new environment to designate for production purposes. This keeps your test and production data separate and provides a nice visual experience in your app.spreedly.com dashboard.
Analyzing Data
Reporting
To view reporting capabilities in app.spreedly.com, select “Reports” from the side bar menu. Here, you can explore shortcut views of common reports like “Success rates,” “Failures,” and “Account Updater” for each environment. To build a report of your own with transaction data, use the “Custom Analytics” tab. “Custom Analytics” can be added as part of the Advanced Vault product (discussed below in “Additional Features”). To enable this feature, speak to your Customer Success Manager.
Adding Users
You may want to add users to your Organization to give them access to various features like reporting, viewing transaction lists, and the ability to create environments. You can add new users to your Organization by selecting the name of your Organization at the bottom of the side menu bar, choosing “Organization users”, and selecting the “Add user” button on the following page.
You have the ability to configure Role-Based Access Controls for users when you add them to your Organization. This feature aims to increase security for your Organization’s data, creates a separation of duties for users, and fosters a more user-friendly experience for those that are focused on either the business or technical side of the use case by limiting the scope of their access.
Additional Features
In these guides, we have discussed the basics for configuring your Spreedly account and getting up and running with production transactions. Still, there are a number of other features that can be used to take advantage of your relationship with Spreedly.
Spreedly’s Advanced Vault is a product that regularly updates your vaulted payment methods. This ensures that you are always sending the most accurate versions of your cardholders’ credit card data, improving your success rates on transactions. Additionally, this service leverages other state of the art features like Network Tokenization to improve authorization rates, BIN metadata to provide deeper insight into your payment methods, and lifecycle management to assist you in maintaining usable cards.
While we’ve mostly discussed transacting with credit cards, Spreedly supports the use of a number of Alternative Payment Methods. Take advantage of these options to provide your customers with a checkout experience that suits their needs.
Transaction Recover allows you to automatically retry declined transactions on up to two backup gateways. This feature will only retry transactions classified as soft declines and that may be accepted at another gateway.
